Precautions for using laminating machine cutter

1.Installation and tool setting must be precise

When installing, ensure that the blade is level and not tilted, and that the blade edge and the blade seat fit tightly. The cutting gap should be adjusted appropriately. If the gap is too large, the film will be cut off. If the gap is too small, the blade will break and the roller will be scratched.

2.Empty cutting and dry cutting are strictly prohibited

Do not perform air cutting when there is no material, as this may easily cause collision, chipping or accelerated wear of the blade. When the film is thin and slippery, the cutting speed should be appropriately reduced to avoid knife skipping and deviation.

3.Choose the appropriate cutting method according to the material

Ordinary film: Just cut it cold to ensure a smooth cut. Adhesive film and thick composite film: can be used with a heated knife to prevent stringing and adhesion. Static-prone materials: Eliminate static electricity before cutting to avoid film adsorption on the blade, causing cutting deviation.

4.Control cutting speed

Do not accelerate or stop suddenly when laminating at high speed to prevent the blade from chipping due to uneven force. Thick materials and multi-layer composite films are appropriately decelerated to ensure one-time cutting without burrs.

5.Avoid cutting hard objects and impurities

It is strictly prohibited to cut materials with metal, sand, gravel, or hard rubber as they can easily damage the blade. Check the material surface before feeding to prevent foreign matter from entering the cutting area.

6.Check sharpness regularly

When burrs, drawing, continuous cutting, or indentations appear, it means that the blade is dull and should be sharpened or replaced in time. Do not forcefully use a blunt knife to cut, as it will increase the load on the machine and damage the transmission components.

7.Proper cleaning and maintenance

After cutting, clean the glue stains and film chips on the blade promptly to avoid drying and affecting the next use. It can be wiped with alcohol or special detergent, and the cutting edge cannot be scratched with hard objects. When not in use for a long time, apply anti-rust oil and store it properly.

8.safe operation

The machine must be shut down and powered off when replacing and debugging blades. Avoid direct contact with the blade with your hands to prevent cuts. Do not get close to the cutting area during operation to prevent the film material from rebounding or debris from flying.

9.Storage and handling

Blades should be stored flat or upright to avoid squeezing and collision with the cutting edge. Use the original packaging or knife cover when transporting to prevent damage from knocks.
