Teeth shaped cutting tools have been widely used in various fields, but the quality of round blades in the market is uneven. Our company's round blades are widely counterfeited and imitated in the market, causing confusion for many users. Below are some precautions for processing and selection based on the production characteristics of some round blades. Regardless of the specifications or materials of round blades, they must withstand the force brought by the high-speed rotation of the cutting machinery when processing and cutting. A good round blade must have strong wear resistance and sharpness to adapt to the friction force of the object being cut, and at the same time, it must have a certain impact resistance. On the one hand, it must also prevent the situation of cracking when in contact with the object during high-speed rotation. A good material circular blade should meet the following basic characteristics:
1, Hardness
In general, the better the material, the higher the hardness achieved by quenching. If ordinary materials are quenched to a high hardness, it will damage the toughness of the round blade and cause the blade edge to crack. So the quenching hardness of round blades must depend on the material. The hardness of the round blade should be much greater than that of the cutting material, and the quenching range for heat treatment is generally HRC55-64 °.
2, Wear resistance
The wear resistance of the blade is directly proportional to its hardness. The better the material and higher the hardness of the circular blade, the better its wear resistance.
3, Heat resistance
Heat resistance refers to the ability of steel to maintain properties such as hardness, toughness, strength, and wear resistance even in high temperature environments generated at high speeds. The quality of circular blades is usually measured by the red hardness of steel, and materials with higher red hardness can withstand higher cutting speeds.
4, Stability
Stability refers to the degree to which the crystal structure of the cutting blade material changes during blade heat treatment. At present, the heat treatment methods for cutting machine blades include vacuum quenching, salt bath quenching, electric furnace quenching, etc. Different quenching methods have a significant impact on the stability of blade materials.
