Many customers ask about the balance of the blade body when choosing circular paper-cutting blades. Today, I will explain this key point clearly based on our supplier experience.
Simply put, the balance of the blade body means that when the blade rotates at high speed, its weight is evenly distributed around the center, without deflection or vibration.
Why is balance so important?
◆Good balance ensures the blade rotates more stably, with low noise and no shaking;
◆cuts are smoother and free of burrs, with no material waste;
◆the blade bears force evenly, resulting in less wear and a longer service life.
During production, we implement strict control over three processes:
First, high-quality high-hardness steel is used, followed by precision machining to ensure dimensional accuracy. Finally, high-speed testing is conducted with a balancing machine, and trimming and correction are performed on unbalanced points to ensure that each blade operates stably once installed on the machine.
During use, the balance will also be affected:
◆Sharpen the blade regularly to maintain its edge condition;
◆Do not cut excessively thick or ultra-hard materials to avoid deformation under force;
◆Install correctly to reduce eccentric wear.
Now let's talk about the two common types of blades:
◆Single-edged circular knife: Mainly used for precision cutting of paper, cardboard and printed materials. It has extremely high balance requirements, and even a slight deflection will affect cutting accuracy.
◆Double-edged circular knife: Mainly used for rough cutting of leather, rubber and thick materials. It operates under heavier working conditions and can tolerate a slightly greater degree of imbalance, yet basic balance must still be ensured to improve efficiency.
