This serrated ring cutter is a core-forming and cutting component for multi-lane VFFS jelly stick packaging machines. It is specially designed for continuous tube film forming and full-circle cutting, used to divide continuous cylindrical packaging film into independent long jelly stick pouches. Unlike flat cup lid punching blades for bowl jelly, this ring cutter features a high-hollow barrel structure to support tube film shaping and achieve one-time full-circle separation, ensuring neat, burr-free cutting for jelly stick, juice strip, and pudding tube packaging.

Working Principle & Working Process

Working Principle

Vertical VFFS equipment feeds plastic film downward, the film passes through the hollow barrel of the ring cutter, and wraps around the inner forming mandrel to form a standard cylindrical tube film. The flanged serrated ring cutter moves down in a high-speed reciprocating stroke, and the full-circle serrated teeth mesh with the lower die to complete 360° synchronous shearing. The continuous tube film is fully cut into single independent jelly stick pouches, then the cutter resets upward for the next feeding and cutting cycle.

Step-by-Step Working Process

1. Tube Film Forming: Flat packaging film is folded and fed vertically, forming a closed tube film through the inner cavity of the ring cutter.

2. Positioning & Stabilizing: The high barrel cutter limits the tube film to keep a cylindrical shape, avoiding flat and wrinkled pouches.

3. Full-Circle Serrated Cutting: The whole circle of serrated edges cuts off the tube film in one stroke, with no incomplete cutting or residual connection.

4. Pouch Transfer: The cut independent jelly tube pouch falls to the filling and sealing station for liquid jelly filling and double-end sealing.

5. Cyclic Reset: The cutter lifts and resets, and the film continues feeding to realize uninterrupted high-speed production.

• Working Material: PE soft film, PET laminated film and aluminum-plastic tube film for food packaging. It is mainly used to produce large-diameter cylindrical jelly sticks, juice strips and pudding tube pouches.
• Applicable Equipment: Multi-lane VFFS vertical stick pack machines and automatic jelly tube forming & cutting machines.
• Applicable Products: Long jelly strips, fruit juice sticks, pudding tubes and inner packaging for liquid ice pops.
• Important Note: This cutter fully cuts tube film to split continuous material into separate stick pouches. It is not a flat punch blade for tear notches on round jelly cup lids, nor a cutting blade for solid jelly food.
